Mother Earth

In her embrace, she holds you calm,
always protecting you, bringing you no harm.

Yet blinded you are, by your greed,
marauding her, you make her bleed,

Thus she question? thus she retort?
ever in her wake, does she ask for support?

She elegantly holds you, in her wings,
knowing you'll cut them, yet she sings,

do you hear the woods moaning?
the land cracking? the air dying?

She'll not survive, because you've made her the bait,
All she can hope is that you realize before its too late.
